As a small, independently-owned business, our hours may vary a bit if we need to take a sick day, spend time with family, or go out of town for a few days. In the winter, we may also close due to inclement weather. All schedule changes will be posted here on our website, as well as on Facebook and Instagram. If you're making a special trip to see us - thank you! But please check our website ahead of time for any changes to our schedule.

We’re centrally located in downtown Middletown at the intersection of North Street and East Main (Franklin Square), next to Run 4 Downtown Park.

Street parking is available across from the store on the south-bound side of North Street. You can also park in the municipal lots located on East Main Street, South Street, or James Street (near the DMV).

Yes! As a primarily used bookstore, we rely on your donations and appreciate your generosity. However, there are some restrictions on what we can accept due to our limited storage capacity.

Yes! If we don’t already have what you’re looking for, we’d be happy to order it for you! Special orders must be paid for in advance, and can be picked up in store or shipped directly to you. (Standard shipping rates apply.)

Most of our used books are available in store only, but select titles can also be found on our eBay page.

For new books, we’ve teamed up with Bookshop.org to bring new releases directly to your door, or you can find over 400,000 audiobooks on Libro.fm. Purchases made through these links directly support our store.

Yes! You can pick up a gift card in store for any amount. Gift cards are also available through Bookshop.org and Libro.fm for customers who prefer to shop online or listen to audiobooks.

We would love to give to every local organization that asks. However, we receive an overwhelming number of requests for donation and as a small, family-owned business, we have very limited funds available. Priority will be given to literacy organizations and local community members who support our store. Requests for donations can be emailed to hello@wellwornbooks.com; however, we may not be able to grant every request. Thank you for your understanding.

Yes! "Indie" just means independent and locally owned. We're a true family-run business with no corporate overlords, no greedy investors, and no plans to colonize space.
